August 30th the VFW will celebrate all August birthdays. A meal and birthday cup cakes will be available from 3:00 to 4:00pm. We will have live entertainment “Cajun Dave” starting at 5:00pm. Watch our website for current events: www.vfw9986.org
Our “Buddy Poppies” will be available at Astor market and the Kangaroo Convenience store in September, help to support our disabled veterans, all proceeds go to disabled veterans who also make the Poppies.

Attention Medicare recepients !!! A presentation on medicare benefits and new expanded coverage areas will be held at the Astor VFW Post 9986 on August 14th at 2:00pm. A luncheon will be served following presentation. The public is invited to attend this informative presentation.
